«Lily”, is a photography exhibition where the authors, Salvador Perez Arroyo and one multidisciplinary team represent psychological topics of the human mind and try develop with pictures some theories of the consciousness and the unconsciousness levels as are described by the psychologist.

But this exhibition is also related with the women’s universe. We are inspired in the special role of the women. They hold the most complete History of humanity evolution in their special dedication to the production of life and in the transmission of knowledge. Should be impossible to understand the evolution of the humanity without the language transmission or for example without the teaching of the skill to select between different aliments: smelling, touching, listening. The bridge between the physical life and the just born soul was covered historically by the women’s permanent teaching.

There are many old discussions about the value of photography like a conventional Art. These discussions don’t affect to us. We are not thinking in photography only like one Art.  We use photography between many other possible instruments to create Art but in this case like one instrument to transmit one idea.

M. Merleau-Ponty point out that if only we use our vision isn’t enough to understand. We need to «watch»  if we want to interpret what we see. This collection of pictures has to be visited, observed and will stimulate our way of watching.  We are interested to find and explore the bridge between physicality and feelings.

The exhibition explores to the mysterious, poetical and obscure layers to the human soul.

We are using in this work the face of only one model. We will come with her face to the lower level of unconsciousness, where Jung, the German psychologist, described should be the base to the mythology and archetypes.  Reading the children’s fairy stories or the Mythological interpretation to the History we find many invariants, many common references where the human life gets the most intense and simple expression. Love, hate, sadness etc.

We will move from the consciousness with pictures in black and white to the deep unconsciousness. In this level, coloured images will describe her own mythology.PHOTOGRAPHY
